This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
So, I finally got myself to join Deviantart. I have watched this community for some time and highly admired some, and been given inspiration from many many more. I look forward to get started. I have decided to only submit new paintings, as joining this fora is a new beginning for me.
Why don't people take the bother to write a description for their photography or artwork? I am honestly interested in the artists thoughts behind a piece. Why he/she did what he/she did. Ofcourse I make up my own opinion and assotiations with the piece, but am not the one who made it. I very often wonder where that particulary idea came from. Why don't more people share the progress?
Art to me is more then a photo taken of a stature on the stress and submitting it to DA. It's just a thing that person liked. An artpiece is something created with thoughts behind it. A reason to why it was created.
Definately, it makes me feel alive. The strange though, is that most people I ask dont do it. They are either afraid of getting wet, they feel silly or worried about what other people will think of them. Another reason I've heard is that "they are too grown up" to do such things. Isn't that sad?
How can one be too old for such a natural and wonderful thing?
It is such a great feeling to feel the ground under your bare feet.
And during the summer it is very freshening, too.
